The Nei Ye (literally inner training or inner achievement) is thought to be the oldest Chinese mystical text describing Daoist meditation and the circulation of internal energy.

When recited, the verses of the Nei Ye act like mantras, each having a particular resonance with the body’s internal energy and the human psyche, creating immediate positive changes in one’s consciousness.

Singer-songwriter, martial artist and Qi Gong instructor Valerie Ghent and her husband Tom Bisio have curated six of the most powerful verses from the Nei Ye and although the original text is in Chinese, these verses are equally powerful in English.
