Meditation Description

Designed for children ages 5 to 12, Dr Joe created The Magic Walk walking meditation to encourage children—through play and pretend—to embody the person they want to be when they grow up, and it all begins with feeling the emotions of their future. Central to this meditation is the understanding that if children pretend to become who they want to be, they will become who they want to be.

At the end of the meditation, Dr Joe asks the children to remember how they are feeling and to notice the difference between how they felt when they started the meditation and how they felt at the end, thus starting the conditioning process for creating a positive, healthy future in mind and body.

Whether practiced in the yard, in a field, or in the living room, this is a great meditation for kids to lose themselves in their future selves. Parents are also invited to do this meditation with their children. By practicing this meditation together, children will become comfortable meditating on their own. This walking meditation is 30-minutes long.
