About Eric Barstow

I’m Eric, the founder of Painting Business Pro. I’ve been in the painting business for my entire working life.

For the first 6 years of my painting business career I recruited, trained, and mentored other college students to start and run their own painting company. I had the backing of a large national company that provided this internship.

I worked 50-60 hours a week and trained over 100 college students, who had no prior painting or business experience, to run a successful painting company.

After graduating with a degree in economics and business, I started my own painting business in late 2010. Our company has grown from a small $150,000 business in our first year, to over $3,000,000 in sales in 2016.

I am also the co-owner of Painter Choice, a national lead provider for painting contractors. Over 1500 homeowners every month use our service to find a painting contractor, and we play the matchmaker.

In 2013, I started Painting Business Pro to teach people how to start and build their own painting companies following the principles I had learned and taught.

Over the last few years, Painting Business Pro has become the largest online resource for starting and building a successful painting company. I love hearing success stories and sharing everything I have learned to help others follow in my footsteps.
